Emily Richard

Emily is the mother to three littles which is where a large part of her love for birth work and interest in becoming a birth doula all began. Her three uniquely different birth experiences of her own help her to relate to and have a better understanding of what it means to "surrender" and have grace for different types of births and outcomes. During her second birth, she experienced birth support by a labor nurse that she had not known was even possible. She helped her to stay focused and comfortable and ultimately played a huge role in her being able to have the unmedicated VBAC she had been praying for and desired so deeply. It was after that birth Emily knew she had an assignment: to help, love, and support as many women and families as God would allow her to through becoming a birth doula.

Emily is passionate about her clients feeling confident, safe, and heard throughout their pregnancy, during their labor and delivery and in their postpartum season. There can be so many things changing in you and around you during each of those stages and knowing you have someone who will consistently be there and be for you can make all the difference in your birth experience. That is exactly what Emily desires to be for each of her clients.

Emily has been serving as a certified birth doula in the OKC Metro since 2020. She is a wife and a homeschool mama to their three children.

LOVES: coffee, laughing with friends, family, and even strangers, baking, going on walks with her family, having game nights with friends, free events, watching a good show on the couch, experiencing new people, places and foods, and getting to know more about Jesus through His Word, His children, and His creation.

Emily is that rare gem, the embodiment of everything you could ever hope for in a birth worker. When I think of the ultimate support during childbirth, she immediately comes to mind, radiating a genuine and heartfelt presence. Her intuitive nature is nothing short of extraordinary. She seemed to possess an innate ability to understand exactly what I needed, even before I could express it myself.
